TOTAL SCAM!!! DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I ran a search on MY OWN NUMBER to see what information was being shown about me for privacy concerns. The good news is the report did not have ANY information about me on it but the bad news is that I when I called their so-called "customer service" to report the erroneous information, I was referred to their terms of use legal mumbo jumbo and refused a refund because the "public records" returned the information not Peoplefinder. People finder and their customer service SUCKS!

This may sound like a broken record but Peoplefinders said that automatic monthly renewals are disclosed in the on line subscription pages. If that's so they hid it well because I always look for that stuff. When I called to get a refund they told me not to "talk to them like that". No profanity, no insults, just a stern statement to either cancel the charge or deal with my credit card cocmpany. It's okay for them to scam you, but please don't be angry with them. RIGHT!

People finders is a complete sham. I just did a search on myself and found that they listed people as my relatives that no one in our family have ever heard of. Bill collectors are using this site to harrass people. I 5 to 6 calls a night from collectors looking for several of the people listed as my relatives. I have not clue who these people are and now as soon as the caller asked for one of them I hang up the phone. I have tried to explain to the collectors I don't know these people, doesn't work. I wish I could sue People finders so maybe they would at least try to put correct into on their site.

I tried using this site and the information isnt accurate; three of the people I was looking for were listed as living when I knew they were deceased. also, the age is almost wrong everytime.

I contacted PeopleFinder.com in Aug-Sept 2011. I got nothing and I send an email back to this SCAM outfit and told them to stopped service and I was going out of the country. I left the company and just got back and found 6 months of charges on my credit cards. I am writing a letter to them with a first warning with copies to the Better Business Bureau, District Attorney's office, and asking for all my money back. If I do not get it, I am going to file a small claims against them in San Antonio Texas and let me see them show up from California to defend themselves. Then, I will take this case up the chain to the District Attorney's in California with the claim and allegations to make them pay. I hope this helps anyone out there who gets ripped off by this SCAM.

Im in the real estate business and have a need for skip tracing services to locate homeowners. People Finders provides this service as well as reverse number lookup. I received a cell phone call from a number I did not recognize so I asked People Finders to look up the number and they normally deliver the Name, address, city state and zip of the telephone number subscriber. When I entered the number their website responded with Yes, we have the information. The fee for the report was $4.95. I order the report. The website then responded that they didnt really have the information I was requesting but they would do further research and get back to me within 24-48 hours. When they finally did respond, they told me this is a cell phone and they did not provide any other information. I sent an email to customer service and told them I did not expect to pay for the information only telling me it was from a cell phone and if they could not provide all the contact information one expects in a report of this type, they need to issue a refund or not bill me in the first place. They responded by telling me that if I place an order for the information their policy is no refunds. I was tricked into ordering the report when they said they had the information. When they did not have the information, they told me since I placed an order, they would not refund. I cancelled the member ship. Please investigate this deceptive sales tactic and prosecute to the fullest. They make millions with this scam and although the amounts per charge are small it is an obvious internet scam and they are not interested in providing information but only in collecting their fees.

People Finders is a definite scam. I found 3 months worth of 24.95 charges on my credit card bill. Strongly suggest you take care of bogus charges on your credit card with your credit card company. If you call People Finders, to "confirm" who you are, they ask for your phone number, address, and email -- and altho this may be necessary for a credit (we'll see), it obviously helps them update their People Finders data on you. (Their phone message indicates that you can have your personal info removed from their database -- but I'm not sure I'd trust them. Of course, to test whether they remove your personal info, you probably have to run through the order/automatic membership maze again.)

There was no satisfactory search. Credit card was charged despite cancellation. Only disputing this with credit card company resulted in cancellation of charge. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

*** me for not looking at my last 6 credit card statements!! I got charged 19.95 six times for one request in Aug 2010. Who knew about this recurring charge??!!! I just called People Finders.com customer service number and they would not credit my account. I had to cancel immediately. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE!!!

I did the same thing and the day after I signed up for it to get an address I got a call from a guy from peoplefinders asking me if I wanted to sign up for a program and I said no and specifically asked to make sure that I was not on any kind of program and would only be charged the one time $1 charge and he said yes but still got the $24.95 charge. This SUCKS!
